Meeting re. Autism, Hearing Impaired, Vision Impaired Service

THIS EVENT lS ORGANISED BY THE PARENTS' ASSEMBLY

This event is one of two follow-up meetings on the parent consultation workshops held at the Megacentre in October 2011. At these workshops, parents discussed proposed changes to 14 services provided to schools. These included a number of services which cater predominantly or exclusively for children with disabilities and/or special educational needs (SEN).

There will be two meetings, one in the evening (8 February) and one in the morning (9 February). At these meetings, Heads of Service will inform parents of the proposals for the following services:

    Hearing Impaired
    Visually Impaired
    Autism

They will take parents through each element of the proposals and show how comments and feedback received from parents have influenced the redesign. The proposals for the 3 services will be taken to the Headteacher Discussion Group on 22 February and subsequently to the City Wide Learning Body on 8 March for sign-off.
